As well as being one of the top ski resorts in the world St.Anton also has a reputation for being one of the best party ski resorts in the world. So where should you go to if you want to party into the early hours of the morning? There are many bars and clubs in the village and everyone will have their own favourites so I will just detail the main ones. Please remember to make a small donation to help keep the site going - Thanks

Kandahar

The Kandahar is probably the most sophisticated club in town; it is furnished in a cosy oriental style incorporating a large dance floor. The resident DJs are very good and at various dates in the season Top DJs from London & Ibiza come over to do guest nights.... The bar staff are always good as well as being very pleasing on the eye. In the early evening the Kandahar is an informal Thai / Indian restaurant with small and large booths for groups as well as smaller tables for two. As the evening moves on the restaurant gradually morphs into a music bar and then at 2am into St.Anton’s top night club pumping out the funky, happy house music until 6am allowing you just enough time to get home, shower and be ready to hit the 8.30 lifts.... You can find the entrance to The Kandahar next door to the Sport Hotel and opposite the Post Hotel in the centre of the village. The restaurant opens at 7pm.

The Piccadilly / Post Kellar

Two places in one here, The Post Kellar is a bar and nightclub whereas the Piccadilly is an apres ski bar, late night bar and live music venue. They share the same entrance and you have to pay an entrance fee to get in. Both are very busy and get wilder as the night goes on. The Kellar, which opens for apres ski at 4pm has a large dance floor with central DJ station and seating all around. There are two bars to make sure that nobody has to wait too long for their drinks! A good variety of dance music is played throughout the night, usually to around 4am.  The Piccadilly bar is open from 4pm for après ski and live music, it then becomes a late night bar after 9pm at which point nobody can come in with ski gear on... There is live music here each night with resident musician "Gunar" and the occasional guest player turning up to join in the fun... This is a very lively bar and if hanging around inside a noisy night club is not your cup of tea then the Piccadilly could just be the place for you as the atmosphere is great and the live music very good... then when you are drunk enough you can wander into the Kellar and strut your stuff on the dance floor just like the John Travolta you have convinced yourself that you have now become..... You can find the Post Kellar and Piccadilly underneath the Post Hotel with the entrance next to Alber Sports.

Bobo's

How to describe Bobo's.... Well it is many things really, a restaurant, an apres ski bar, a late night bar and a nightclub. The restaurant serves  Mexican food which is very good, the bar has a great bunch of staff who like to party with the customers until the early hours. Bobo's has theme evenings ranging from karaoke to live music and DJs'. It is very popular with many of the ski instructors and locals and can get very busy as the evening progresses. It is one of my favourite late night bars as it is somewhere between a bar and a nightclub and at my ripe old age

late on the mountain you can get in with your ski gear and boots still on - this is not the case everywhere in town. To find Bobo's head for the Testa Rossa coffee bar which is just about opposite the bakery. Next to Testa Rossa you will find the Kristall Hotel & Dorfstub'n restaurant and Bobo's is in the cellar underneath. Bobo's opens at 5pm and closing time is 2am....

Jacksys

This is an English style bar in the heart of St.Anton run by Hannes & Johanna Spiss and serving draft Guinness and Kilkenny along with many other beers. Snacks are also available at the bar. There is a large screen that shows sport dvd's and live football matches.   A great
atmosphere is to be found in Jacksys whether you are here to après ski from 4pm or partying the night away until 2am. Check out some of the memorabilia & trophies decorating the bar from Hannes' days as a ski racer. You will find Jacksys just off the main street, turn right along the little street between the perfume shop & the Aquila restaurant, walk for about 100 metres and you will find the bar just around to the right. Scotty's

Scotty's is part of the Mark Warner club Hotel Rosanna and is just off the main pedestrian street. It tends to be a lively hang out for the younger generation and so not a place I am too familiar with! It is open for après ski and continues into the early hours of the morning. Plenty of cocktails and special vodka's..... and being run by Mark Warner, the staff are mainly English. If you turn off the pedestrian area into the little lane between the Sport Hotel and Gemeindeamt, you will find Scotty's about 100 metres down on the right. dA hrethrw bnhnh nrtnhnhb nhrnhrhn hrhrh hnrrth rhrhrtDL;D Dad dqf dfq fcavasvfsgv vsv v sv vsv vwsvsvews vsvb ebasbewrgegh bnhrhb rbnh gergerg geg gbegbehb hbrebrbnhrthb brbrtbh rhbrehbnrhb bhgerhb brehbrehtb hbrewheh hbrehh heherht erherhrth ertherthrth ertherth eherh ehtreh hbrehehbrewhreth dasdf  rjrt jrjrtjrjhrtj fwegf fqfqwefg gewrgerg regewrhg gewhgerhg erhgerhg erherh ghbeqrhbeqrh gewrhg ewrhgerh gewrhg gewrg gbegrerhberh rhberherhg erherherh erhberherh erherthrtjhrtj rtjrtjrtyj rtjhrwtjrtj rtjrtjrtjrtyj jhrtjrt rjrtjryj egfwegf gewr gwe gewrggergergb

Bar Cuba

A hot little bar specialising in cocktails - try the "Love Juice" or "Cuban Cocaine" which are their own creations! Whether it is for après ski or late night drinking this is a popular place to hang out. Bar Cuba opens at 4pm  with live music between 4pm and 7pm and has happy hour until 6pm. The atmosphere builds throughout the evening until full on party mode is reached....not stopping until the bar closes at 3am. Snacks are available and an interesting little attraction is a self-service beer tap... don't get too excited - you still have to pay for the beer!! You will find Bar Cuba adjacent to the Hotel Schwarzer Adler & the Peak Performance shop just at the end of the pedestrian area as you head towards the Nasserein end of the village - so a good place to start or finish depending on just where you are staying! fdaf faff faf fasf cfaf vfSADV VSDV VFDGBGB BBND BHEBH EBHETNB BNHRETN ETRNHRJN HRNJHRT HRTJ HRTNJHRWTJ NHRNJ NJRNJ NNMNN YNJTY NTMTYMN NJRTYJN NJRTYJN JTJTY JTEYJTYJ JTYJTYJ JTYJTYJ RTYJTYJ JTYJ JTYJ JTYJTYJ JTYJTYJ

The Funky Chicken

This one is for all you youngsters and snowboarders!! The funky is most definitely a hang out for the younger generation; it serves inexpensive chicken and curry dishes all washed down with frozen margaritas (Happy hour from 11pm - midnight). It is a kicking bar with funky music by the bucket load as well as a large video screen that shows extreme sport dvd's. The bar is always very busy and is open from après ski until the very early hours (not sure just how early as being neither young nor a snowboarder I don't go in there!!) To find "The Funky" just follow the noise at the top of the main street and you will find it next door to the Pomadorro Pizzeria. Platzl

Whilst it may not look to be too much from the outside, Platzl is a very popular late night drinking haunt. It gets quite a mixed crowd, although I would have to say that generally the clientele is quite young.  It tends to have quite varied opening hours as far as I can tell, when it is very busy in the town it seems to stay open to the very early hours, it is I have to admit somewhere that I have stumbled into on the way home for “one” and ended up staying for hours.  I think that maybe the format or interior may have changed for this season – at least this will be my excuse to pop in early in the season and do some “research” for this site.
